This record keeps an early research idea from the previous edition of the site: placing election dates, monetary policy decisions and market indicators on a common timeline.
Status of this record
Archived draft. No completed dataset, computed findings or verified causal claim was published here. The dates are the record’s publication and update dates, not a data cutoff.
Before an analysis begins
When two lines move around the same dates, the first question is how their relationship would be measured. Which indicator, time window and frequency? Does the observation survive a different starting date?
Studying a change around an event is a different question from showing that the event caused it. A method would need to explain how it handles other events, prior expectations and data revisions.
What is missing
If resumed, this work would need series identifiers, retrieval dates, units, transformations and reproducible calculations. The CBRT link below is only an official source directory; it does not identify a dataset used on this page.
For now the record keeps the questions that precede a result. The connection to the visual experiments continues in the model note.
